POLIVAL-ICP

LYOPHILIZED VERSATILE ANTIVENENE

The Antivenom Serum produced at the Clodomiro Picado Institute in Costa Rica is a preparation of immunoglobulins purified by the caprylic acid precipitation technique. The technology used  allows to obtain a product of the highest quality and clinical efficacy that has been used extensively in Latin America for more than 15 years in the therapy of patients suffering from vipérid poisonings. Preclinical studies published in prestigious scientific journals have shown that Poli Val-ICP neutralizes the venoms of most medically important vipers in Central and South America, with the exception of the South American rattlesnake.

ANTIVIPMYN TRI

F (ab ') 2 LYOPHILIZED VERSATILE PHABOTHERAPY

Antivipmyn® Tri Fabotherapy is made up of F (ab ') 2 fragments of horse antivipéride hyperimmune immunoglobulin G (IgG). IgG is a globulin made up of two pairs of polypeptide chains, whose main function is to recognize and bind to foreign molecules, called antigens. From a functional point of view, IgG is made up of 2 regions or fractions: The Fab fraction (antigen binding fragment, "antigen binding" or variable) and the Fc fraction (crystallizable or constant fragment). The Fc fraction is the region of the molecule with the highest immunogenic and antigenic capacity. These characteristics are eliminated in the Fabotherapics, considerably reducing the risk of the development of side effects.
